Beatrice Marie Mowrer, daughter of Raymond Teasdale and Anna Irene Llewellyn Teasdale, was born August 31, 1925 in Novinger, Missouri and died October 25, 2006 at the Perry Health Care Center in Perry, Iowa at the age of 81 years, one month, and 24 days.
Bea, as she was lovingly known, moved with her family to Madrid, Iowa when she was two years old. She graduated from Madrid High School. On March 11, 1949 she married Ralph Vernon Mowrer. They were parents of four sons: Timothy, Daniel, David, and Daryl. They farmed in the Perry and Ogden area most of their lives.
Bea was an active member of the Fairview United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the Fairview Ladies Aid, TOPS; and several community Bible studies. Her greatest love was her family and her grandchildren were her delight. Bea also enjoyed crafts, painting and reading.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ralph; and two sons: David and Tim. She is survived by sons, Dan and wife Marla of Earlham, IA. Daryl and wife Leanne of Perry, IA; daughter in law; Connie Mowrer of St.Joseph, MO.; fourteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a sister Betty Ridnour of Cedar Rapids, IA., brother Raymond Teasdale and wife Jean of Ogden, IA. sisters-in-law; Edna Mace and husband Glenn of Perry, IA., Lorraine Mowrer of Guthrie Center, IA., and Carol Mowrer of Ogden, IA .; other relatives and many friends.
Services were held Friday, October 27. 2006 at the Rippey Methodist Church with words of comfort by Pastor Clare DeBoef and Pastor Deb Parkison. Interment was at the Fairview Cemetery in Boone County, IA.
