The Greene County Democrats presented every library in the County with an autographed copy of the book written by Pulitzer Prize winner, Art Cullen. The book entitled, “Storm Lake, a Chronicle of Change, Resilience and Hope from a Heartland Newspaper” is an enjoyable read. It is part memoir of the author, who like many Iowans whose family came as early settlers. It provides a sense of heart warming, and heart tugging tales as he describes the metamorphosis of agricultural experienced in Storm Lake/Buena Vista County much like we have seen here in Greene County.

There is an opportunity to meet and hear the author, Mr. Cullen on February 2 when he comes to Jefferson at 6:30 to address the public at a Democratic fundraiser. The event will be held at the Jefferson Golf Course. Tickets may be purchased by calling 515-370-3087 or picked up at the Rasmussen Law office in Jefferson. The availability of tickets is diminishing due to advanced sales.
