April 11th was the date of Greene County Reads. Rippey was one of three libraries in the arwith county that hosted the discussion. The book was “The Home for Unwanted Girls”. The discussion Leader was Jan Scharingson. Churdan had the discussion at 9 AM, Rippey was at 2PM and Marchant Memorial Library in Scranton was at 7 PM. We had about 14 come to Rippey from all over the county.
It is an annual county-wide book discussion and a cooperative project sponsored by the Greene County Library Association and the Greene County Board of Supervisors.
The author joined us via Skype during each discussion! It was a good afternoon session. It makes it come alive to have the author interact with us. Jan Scharingson is a good discussion leader and we were very pleased to have her.
I bought one of the books to have in the library, so come check it out. Since the weather is starting to be better, come back into the library and check out a book! We have several new books to read.
Hoping to see you soon. Hope you had a nice Easter.
