The Rippey Lions Club held thei monthly meeting with a potluck meal served. During the business meeting the slate of officers was elected for the 2019-2020 and future donations were discussed including support for the clebration of Rippey’s 150th observance in June of 2010.
The officers elected to serve for 2019-2020 are: Rick Liebich, President, Harlan Den Beste, 1st Vice President, Mark Devilbiss, 2nd Vice President, Dan Acton, 3rd Vice President; Rick Fazel, Tail Twister; Maralynn Rinker, Lion Tamer; Dale Hanaman, Treasurer; Paul Burrow,Secretary; Mary Liebich and Myron Rinker, Directors.

For the program, Mark and Cindy Devilbiss invited three couples to be the contestants on a unique version of the Newlywed Game, with the contestants being Pastor Paul and Nancy Burrow, Myron and Maralynn Rinker, and Phil and Toni Roberts. The questions included, “Where did you go on your first date?”, “When was your first kiss?” and “What was your first car?” Couples guessed the response of their spouse much of the time. The final score was Phil and Toni with 10 points, Myron and Maralynn with nine points and Paul and Nancy with seven points. Prizes were awarded by Mark and Cindy. The participants and audience enjoyed the answers and other comments. The next regular meeting will be on May 16, at 7 p. m. at the Rippey United Methodist Church.
