Kyle, Emily, Gabe and David DeMoss visited Jean Borgeson a couple times over the weekend. They had a little more time on Sunday afternoon for the boys to explore the places their dad had explored when he was their age. Climbing a tree, walking to the river and discovering the toy closet seemed to be the most exciting. The toys their dad had played with were just as enjoyable as they were when their dad and Uncle Bryce were playing with them at the Borgeson ranch those many years ago while their folks were working. Kyle was especially amazed at the changes in the river since the 1990’s, as I am every time I go for a walk in the woods. It wasn’t nearly as wide and rambling 56 years ago when I first came here to live that’s for sure. Of course it wasn’t long before family history was discussed. Kyle’s third great-grandparents, Saul W and Josephine Johnson are on the deed to the farm and the house was built by the Johnson brothers in the middle 1880’s. It was a fun couple hours and the little boys were entertaining to this old lady!
