The meeting was called to order at 6:30 P.M. by Mayor Dan. 17 persons were in attendance.

The treasury report was given. Deposits since July 18 totaled $1,119.70. This included two private donations, payment for two food trucks, a craft vendor, concession stand deposit from baseball games, and book royalties that were sold on Amazon. Also, John and Cyndie Munson donated a gas grill to the Friends of Rippey, to be used throughout the community. The 5-gallon water heater was installed this past week, but that bill is being covered by Barb Overman Yingling.

Lyle and Paula Rychnovsky have donated crowns for King LaVere and Queen Mary.

Bills paid since last meeting were reported by Sharon Ulrich. Absolute Science $500(bubble show), Vivid Images $90.93 (banners for King and Queen’s golf cart), postage and raffle tickets to Mary for $17.41, KDLS radio station $129.96 for nine 30 second radio ads on Perry, Stuart, and Jefferson stations the week of July 26th. Mel Murken was paid $60.40 for lime for the ball field.

Upcoming bills include advertising in local media, magnets, portable toilets, garbage receptacles, and library sleeves for photo display.

Grand Junction ambulance not available on site for Saturday, Hospital contacted

Model Airfield lay out will be 6:30 Thursday.

Matthew Rink, GCCS student helping people on and off the people mover for silver cord hours

One additional craft vendor this week, now 16.

14 parade entries (expecting more)

4 food trucks, two tacos, smoked meats, coffee

Car show ending at 1:00, prizes at 1:30.

Discussion

Parade:

Nancy is going to check with both political parties regarding a parade entry

The Town and County Band will be playing at the ballpark, but will not be on a float in the parade

The People Mover will be used as a parade entry and carry the local baseball players. Dan Acton will pull with his John Deere tractor.

A memory float for Larry Burkett will also be in the parade

Downtown:

Car show- Dale and DeAnn Thompson have given funds for the car show prizes and will be available to assist in registration on Saturday morning

Tables and chairs for people eating from the food trucks will be placed on the library lawn.

The tent will be put up Friday evening, the library board and 4-H will be using a corner for selling cinnamon rolls and water during the day.

An awning will be set up Saturday morning as registration location for the magnets to raffle tickets and quilt raffle tickets. It will remain open until 9:00 P.M. Volunteers need to be identified to assist

Myron Rinker will provide security beginning at 10:00 for Rippey artifacts. Other volunteers need to be identified.

Pat Grow McPherson has persons available to assist with the BINGO

Portable toilets:

12 will be ordered, 4 will be placed at the ballpark

Will include hand sanitizers

Myron and Marilynn Rinker will donate $100.00 to aid in reimbursement for the toilets.

May need volunteers to direct persons to parking

Skating rink/children’s area:

Bouncy houses will be in place by 10:00-Ulrich’s and Roger Norgren’s overseeing set up

TO DO July 31st:

Garbage cans will need to be emptied throughout the day

Mary will check the portable toilets during the day for cleanliness

Shelter house will need electricity turned on for spin art

Baseball dug outs need water bottles and ice in coolers

Meeting adjourned at 7:50

One last meeting July 28 at 6:30 P.M.
