Transition To New Leadership

Share

Hi Friends of Rippey people,
Charlie Mundy, Tina Miner, and Paula  Rychnovsky, have graciously accepted serving as the new officers for the Friends of Rippey and will be calling for a meeting in the near future.
Mary Hick, Sharon Ulrich, and I have determined to leave the leadership of the Friends of Rippey in their capable hands, but of course we will continue to be available to assist and help with projects.
The formation of the Rippey Baseball Commission, working in conjunction with the Mayor of Rippey, and the City Council is also in a formative and transitioning form.  Excitement is being generated for our little town by plans for the 2022 Rippey Ruckus on the Walt Anderson Field, and perhaps other high school and even AAU games being played at the park.
New clay from the Iowa Falls area has very recently been added to the field to lessen the low spot between second and third base, and to raise the pitcher’s mound.  Mayor Dan has winterized the  restrooms and the concession stand so frozen pipes for the new sink will not be a problem.
Grateful to so many people who made this past summer such a success with the 150th +1 and  including the Fall Classic at the Walt Anderson Field this past October.
Waiting for Spring to PLAY BALL, and see other projects directed by the Friends of Rippey.
Happy Holidays to all!
