Christmas In AZ

The holiday season is in full force in this household.  The kids still wake up early, but the morning rush of getting dressed for school is lifted, so there are early morning snuggles in my bed and serious conversations on patience, concerning the packages under the tree.  Now that they can do math, a daily count of the tags on the packages belonging to them, is ongoing.

I helped in the kindergarten class party on Thursday.  There were several “stations” set up and I was assigned to help decorate cookies.  Santa visited, and informed them he was looking forward to his cookies and milk on Christmas Eve, because Mrs. Santa had him on a diet all year, except this one night!  Oh, the promises made that morning, ensuring him that there would be plenty waiting in their homes. One little boy told Santa that he hoped he liked licorice cookies!  I know this activity will be part of our plans, but something tells me that licorice won’t be part of the ingredients!  Merry Christmas to all!  Jean Borgeson
