The Burk family from Jamaica invited me to their family reunion on Saturday, May 28, 2022, only because I helped them with final burial arrangements last summer, as well as some family tree information. Although I couldn’t attend their noon meal, I was able to meet them at the Rippey Cemetery in the afternoon, and enjoyed taking their family and pictures at the gravesite of George and Nellie Burk. It was quite an effort for these people to finally gather to say goodbye to three of their family members who died in the midst of Covid as well as other delays in their lives, especially as far away as some of them live. It was a nice day for them and they continued walking the cemetery, visiting the ancestors in their family who are buried there.
