The library has become a little busier.  I am always getting new books, so come in and check things out.  We will be having Summer Reading this year.  There will be more about this after school is out.  Pass the word if you have K-5th grade kids.

There will be a magician here on June 21st at 4 PM.  This will be for adults too!  The Greene County Library Association through funding from the Greene County Supervisors  is funding this event and we really appreciate what they do for the county libraries.  Now that a lot of people have the Covid shots we are relaxing things at the library.  Always wear a mask if you are worried.

We have 150th celebration T-shirts and hats.   The “I Remember Rippey” books are here also.  The celebration will be here before we know it.

Some of the new books I’ve ordered are “Where the Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owens,   “Sooley”, by John Grissom, and “The Midnight Library” by Matt Haig.  I also have James Patterson’s “Deadly Cross”.  Some of the books patrons have asked for and others are on book club lists.   A library is for everyone and I try to purchase books that may interest our readers.  I have the first and second books of the Bregdan Chronicles, by Ginny Dye and Virginia Gaffney.  There are several other books in this historical fiction series and if these are enjoyed, I’ll be glad to purchase more.

School will be out soon.  I had a senior grandson graduate and he was among the graduating class on Sunday.  The last day of school for others is next week. The last year has been a blur. In some ways it went fast and other times it seemed to drag on.

Remember to support your local library, wherever you live.
