The Rippey Lions Club met on Thursday, September 9, 2021 for their regular meeting. Greg Jacobs, President, opened the meeting followed by a meal prepared and served by Phyllis Bardole. The Lions are considering community projects. Patches were presented that will be attached to the Lions Club banner.
Lions Club members will do future planning regarding encouraging new members and fundraising possibilities during the program time at the next meeting.
Following the business meeting, Dale Hanaman introduced Chris Henning, of Cooper, who shared “River Stories” relating to the Raccoon River provided by residents from Churdan, Coon Rapids and Cooper.
The next meeting will include a potluck meal on Thursday, October 7 at 7 p.m. at the Rippey United Methodist Church.
