Local friends in the Rippey area were notified of the death of Russell A. Weaver. Russell graduated with the Rippey High School class of1956 and had attended the alumni gathering over Memorial Day this year. The son of Grover and Dorothy Weaver, he was born September 16, 1938, and died June 25, 2017. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathaniel Goodrich. He is survived by his wife Jean of 56 years, sister, Marilyn (Ronald) Claussen of Spirit Lake, Iowa;daughter Linda (Bill) Goodrich; and four grandchildren, Alicia, Sarah, Liam and Anna Goodrich, all of Omaha, Neb. Memorial services will be held on Friday,July 21, 2017, 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 421 Park Avenue, Omaha, Neb.Cards may be sent to the family at 18925 Drexel Circle, Omaha, NE.
