I was in Ft Meyers last week playing baseball at the Twins Fantasy Camp and on Wednesday morning instead of wearing the Twins jersey, I donned the Rippey Demons uniform.
As I was heading over to my position at first base, the umpire noticed my jersey and struck up a conversation from me. His name is Frank Tasler and he told me that he grew up in Jefferson and graduated in 1970 from Jefferson HS and make it back annually to his home town.

Reardon & Viola were pitchers for the Minnesota Twins and in 1987 in Game 7, Viola went 8 innings and Reardon came in the 9th to close it out to win the 1987 World Series over the St Louis Cardinals.
