Sunday September 23 at 10:30 a.m., a special unified Service will be held at Perry First UMC. Pastor Lee Schott from Women at the Well UMC at Mitchellville, will be preaching. A special offering for Women at the Well will be received. The church is based inside the walls of the Iowa Correctional Institution. Pastor Lee is a frequent speaker outside the prison and the author of a forth coming book, Learning Church We Did Not Mean to Go, which offers lessons for the church in the world, based on her experience of church inside the prison.
