The Halloween party at the Rippey Library was attended by approximately 30 colorful costumed persons who enjoyed admiring each other’s attire and eating hot dogs, chips and drink before traipsing off to trick or treat in the community. The weather cooperated and it was fun to see the creative costumes that wandered in to enjoy the meal before the evening of knocking on doors began. Thanks to the librarian and library board for hosting another Halloween gathering. A special thanks to former board member, Virgene Morse, who donated money toward purchasing candy for the treat bags. Virgene served on the board from July 6, 1981 to January 1, 2004. She has many fond memories of serving with the board and with the many volunteers of the community as they all worked together to make the events and activities of the library special.
