Greetings to Friends of Rippey(FOR),
I am calling a meeting of our group for Sunday evening September 11 at 7:00 P.M. at the small community room adjacent to the Rippey library.
We have several informational items to share:
The Good News first:
The Rippey Baseball Commission has been duly formed, have received their IRS number, and the contractual agreement with the City of Rippey was completed last Monday evening at the City Council meeting.
The Rippey Memory Box containing the Rippey High School band uniform was completed and hung by Dick Bardole and Gary Weaver. It is located in the large community room.
The Rippey City Council has given permission to remove the pipe railing from the skating rink, and paint 2 pickleball courts outlines on the rink.
The not so good news:
Charlie Mundy’s schedule will not allow him to continue as the FOR leader.
Rick Liebich and Jean Borgeson would like to move off the FOR board.
All three persons remain very willing to assist in projects.
Volunteer Replacement of Board persons: Marc Monthei, Donnie Carpenter, Dale Thompson
None of them wish to be the designated leader, but rather have suggested a team approach for projects.
Agenda items to be discussed: Treasurer’s report/ approval of bills
Transfer of designated funds identified for the Baseball Park to the Commission
Potential Upcoming events to be discussed:
Fall Gathering/meal
Christmas breakfast
BRR hosting
Easter Egg Hunt
Rippey Daze-identify date, suggested by some vendors to be July 22nd.
Sarah Killgore will continue as the Webmaster of the Rippey News.
I will complete the application for Greene County Community Foundation.
(discussion of priorities)
Other discussion items may be added.
SUNDAY EVENING 7:00 P.M. AT COMMUNITY ROOM
Hope to see you there!
