On September 23, the large barn on the Chris Roberts farm came down. Chris and his son, Geoff, Lori (Roberts) Bardole, Matt Roberts, as well as Toni Roberts, were all present to see the demise of the old barn.
The barn was over 100 years old and with part of the roof missing, had fallen into disrepair in the last few years.
The oldest Roberts kids remembered all the goats, sheep, and one horse, that were their 4-H projects and were housed in the barn. They also remembered the hot summer days in the haymow, stacking bales and the cooler times in the stalls below, shearing sheep.
Besides many pictures taken, the three siblings came early to retrieve some of the boards with carving and old hinges and wood doors to save as momentos.
It was the end of an era!
