The recent meeting of the Rippey Lions Club began with a meal prepared by Maralynn Rinker assisted by Myron Rinker and Nancy Hanaman. Finalizing plans for the upcoming breakfast were reviewed and the group were reminded of the BRR ride meal plans for early in February.
Guests were Jason and Shannon Foley. The evening program was introduced by Dick Bardole and presented by Jason Foley who shared about his business of breeding queen bees, producing honey. He and his wife, Shannon, also help at the Iowa State Fair in the state beekeepers association area.
The next meeting of the Rippey Lions Club will be the holiday potluck on Dec. 7, 7 p.m. at the Rippey United Methodist Church.
