I have been at my new job about two months. I love books, so this is a very comforting place to work. It would be nice if more people used the library.

We have many books. This includes fiction, mysteries, large print, Western biographies, youth, children, and DVDs. We also subscribe to all the newspapers around. We have many magazines to suit anyone in the household. I especially like this. I got tired of spending money on magazines, only to read them the first night and then it was off to recycling! We also provide computers for people who don’t have one at home and want to check email or look something up.

I’m getting back to reading. I didn’t have time there for awhile, so it is nice to sit and read when no one is in. Think about the cold winter! Wouldn’t it be nice to curl up with a good book beside the fire!

We have several books that are overdue. Take a look at home and see if you find a library book you have forgotten. Bring it in and there will be no fines during December. You might have a book that someone else might like to read. DVDs are only supposed to be checked out for a week and we have a lot missing. We have a book drop outside if you can’t come during library hours.

The library can’t buy every new book. If you have someone who you would like to remember, you can give a memorial to the library and we can purchase new books.

The bus picks up students in the morning and leaves them off here at night. It would be nice if they would come in and pick up a book to read. Several have used the computers.

We are planning a Christmas party on Dec. 19 from 2:30 to 4:30 pm. School is out early that day, so we decided that they can make a gift jar to take home. Candies and jars will be provided. We’ll also have popcorn, party mix, and a drink while they watch a Christmas movie. I hope several students will take advantage of this. Parents are welcome to come if they want to watch and eat popcorn.
