The Rippey Consolidated School Building continues to undergo transformation. The gymnasium built in 1959 is being converted to house the City of Rippey Fire trucks. The actual brick school building has been removed, and while the grove of trees that surrounded the playground is still present, the landscape looks much different. The circle drive is still present, and the Memorial to the School is inside the top center of the circle drive.
To date 204 bricks, listing graduates names, parents names, teachers and students who attended or taught in the building, have been placed by the late Keith Devilbiss or his son, Mark.
One brick order is ready to be placed, but one brick costs $15.00 extra because of shipping. If we can identify 9 more persons to purchase bricks the cost is only $50.00 per brick.
The Friends of Rippey are hoping to place an order for 10 bricks in January 2019, so they will be available for placement in the memorial prior to the Rippey Alumni gathering on Memorial Day weekend of 2019.
The order form is attached, 21 spaces are available on 4 lines, but three lines make readability much better.
If you have been thinking about purchasing for yourself, or your parents, or a favorite teacher, now is an opportune time.
