Thursday, April 20, the Rippey Lions Club members enjoyed a meal prepared and served by Bev Derry and Marilyn Millard assisted by LaVere Derry and George Millard. During the business meeting the group continued discussion regarding summer plans including, “Music on Main Street” and a community picnic which may include dedication of a memorial for Keith Devilbiss and recognition of other work completed. Dale Hanaman will be doing further regarding the possibility of planting trees to honor the 100th anniversary of Lions Club as a community service. Ideas for the next near included a breakfast or brunch for the Rippey community in the spring.
Following the business meeting, Nancy Burrow present pictures and information about petroglyphs, a form of pictures of people and animals, at Legend Rock State Park in Wyoming where she and Pastor Paul Burrow had traveled on vacation. This art work had been created from 1500 years ago to more recent times.
The next meeting will be on May 4 with Nancy and Dale Hanaman, potluck coordinators and Rachel Sacco in charge of the program.
