Greetings to Friends of Rippey people,
Plans are continuing with the Rippey Librarian, Cara McCoy, and the Library Board, the Rippey Lion’s Club, and the Friends of Rippey to honor the proclamation by the Rippey Mayor and City Council to celebrate Halloween on Sunday, October 30 from 5-7:00 P.M. Seven volunteer organizations and individuals will have their car trunks open for trick or treaters beginning at 5:00 P.M.
A fall free will donation meal will be served in the large community room at 6:00 P.M. The meal will consist of slow cooked brisket, cooked to savory tenderness by Kevin Hick. Additionally, cheesy potatoes, and green beans will be served. A selection of sweets donated by the Rippey Library Board members will be included. Beverage choices will be iced tea, coffee, and water.
Old fashioned children’s games, and pumpkin decorating will be available for children and those young at heart.
Any proceeds collected, will begin the fireworks account. Fireworks are planned for Rippey Daze. They will be displayed following the baseball game on July 22, 2023. To replicate the grand fireworks from the sesquicentennial celebration held in 2020, $10,000 will need to be generated.
Come and attend this meal and social time for Rippey persons, and those with ties to Rippey.
